Desktop Sorter is software that I wrote to sort the files on my desktop.

At first, Desktop Sorter was a bunch of hard to work with batch scripts.
Then, I started to turn them into an easy(er?) to use program, and that's where Desktop Sorter 2.0 came from.

Desktop Sorter 3

It's been a while since I updated Desktop Sorter, and well, I thought it needed to be updated.

So now there is a new version of Desktop Sorter, version 3.

System Requirements

The system requirements of version 3 are similar to version 2:

Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista
Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 or higher. (Windows Vista and 7 has .NET built in.) Get .NET framework Here
About 2MB of hard drive space.

What's New

Here is a list of what is updated/new in version 3:

Almost completely re-written from the ground up.
All sorting functions are integrated, no longer needs sort.exe to sort files.
Misc. sorter is back!
Fixed bug where your settings would get erased after update.
A help file!
More stable.
New way of indexing files.
An index browser to look through indexed files.
Improved updating system.
Re-worded a bunch of text.
A progress bar to show sorting progress. (Because of integrated sorting)
Added some more extensions.
Re-made icon.
Only sortable file types are selectable.
Saves per-user settings.
An options menu.
